The GE Software PROM Kit DS200GASCF1 has two PROM modules that can be used with the GE Speedtronic Mark V board. The PROM module in the GE Software PROM Suite DS200GASCF1 is used to store configuration parameters for the drive. The PROM module shipped to you arrived without a software code. This allows you to use the same configuration parameters that you have been using. The DS200GASCF1 is stored on the old PROM module set. To use the same configuration, the best practice is to download the configuration from the old PROM module to a portable computer or other device, and then upload it from the portable computer to the new PROM module.

Access the menu driven user interface on the DS200GASCF1 drive control panel, and then select the menu option to start downloading from the drive. The configuration file will be downloaded to the portable computer. After successful completion, a message will appear on the control panel display. Put on a wrist strap, remove the DS200GASCF1 circuit board containing the PROM module, and place it on a static protective surface. Place a screwdriver between the module and the socket and pry the module apart. Place a screwdriver on the other end of the socket and pry off the module. Immediately place it in an antistatic bag.
