The DS200LDCCH1AFA card is a drive control local area network (LAN) communication board. GE developed this device as a member of the Mark V drive board family. This series of cards is well connected to GE's DIRECTO-MATIC 2000 exciter and driver. The DS200LDCCH1AFA provides many circuit board functions for host drivers, including I/O, device, and motor control functions.
The DS200LDCCH1AFA communication board is equipped with four microprocessors. The drive control processor (DCP) is used to perform digital and analog I/O conversion and control peripheral I/O devices. A local area network control processor (LCP) is also provided on the board. This component is used to accept five different bus LAN systems. The remaining two microprocessors of the DS200LDCCH1AFA are the motor control processor (MCP) and the co motor processor (CMP). The MCP is used to handle digital I/O communications. If any calculations are too laborious for MCP, CMP will provide the additional processing speed required to complete the request. The circuit board is also equipped with a GE programmer keyboard, allowing users to directly access system diagnostics and error codes.
