When the DS200LDCCH1 card was manufactured, the unit was designed as a drive control local area network (LAN) communication board. GE classifies the card as a member of the Mark V series drive board. This card is developed for use with GE's DIRECTO-MATIC 2000 series exciters and drivers. The microprocessor on the board provides e-LAN communication, operator interface, motor and driver processing, and driver reset.
The DS200LDCCH1 board features four microprocessors that provide I/O and drive control settings. The four microprocessors DS200LDCCH1 include a drive control processor (DCP), a motor control processor (MCP), a co motor processor (CMP), and a LAN control processor (LCP). DCP provides control over integrated I/O peripherals such as decoders and timers. The circuit and I/O communication of the motor control system are processed through the MCP. If MCP is unable to complete the calculation, CMP will provide the additional processing power required to execute complex mathematical equations. The processor LCP accepts five bus systems for communication inputs. The board is equipped with an alphanumeric keypad for accessing system settings and diagnostics.
