The DS200LDCCH1APA is a drive control and LAN communication board created by General Electric as part of its Mark V series. Mark V is part of GE's successful family of Speedtronic gas and steam heavy-duty turbine management systems. This series uses triple redundant backups for protection parameters and critical controls to improve reliability. The DS200LDCCH1APA can work in GE's DIRECTO-MATIC series of exciters or drivers. This board provides main drive function and I/O control function. The DS200LDCCH1APA consists of four microprocessor chips, including a drive control processor (DCP), a motor control and co motor control processor (MCP and CMP), and a LAN control processor (LCP). It also has six flash PROMS and one EEPROM, which contain space for field adjustable parameters.

DS200LDCCH1APA can process input/output from five different bus systems through its LAN control processor. These include C-bus, CPL, Genius bus, DLAN, and DLAN+. Because some bus systems require a separate interface board to complete I/O transmission, the DS200LDCCH1APA is designed to connect an auxiliary board installed on four racks located in the upper right quadrant of the board. All 10 I/O connections on the DS200LDCCH1APA are installed vertically. Ten connections are male. One is female.
The DS200LDCCH1APA has 14 jumpers and 10 Berg type jumpers. There are eight TP test points on the circuit board. The board is constructed from a 16 character operator interface module located in the upper left quadrant. This interface allows the user to perform diagnostic tests and make software adjustments. The board includes a ten light LED light bar that can be programmed to indicate drive variables and/or fault codes.
